The Choral Art Society of New Jersey, now in its 46th season, is a non-profit, community chorus of about 70 singers dedicated to the study and performance of great choral works. Evelyn Bleeke founded and directed the group until her retirement in 1995, and our Music Director of the past six years is James S. Little. The chorus has earned the accolades of the public and critics since its beginnings. Westfield TV36 and Comcast Cable Local Programming broadcast our concerts, as we reach out to help sustain the knowledge of and admiration of classical choral music in the community.
The chorus performs two concerts each year, accompanied by the Choral Art Society Orchestra and professional soloists. Our annual Messiah Sing held each December at the First United Methodist Church, One East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ. Singers and non-singers alike are welcome at this festive community event. Our rehearsals are at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield at 140 Mountain Avenue at the corner of East Broad Street, and begin again for the 2008-2009 Concert Season on September 2, 2008.

Thank you for visiting.
Our 2007-2008 season ended with near record ticket sales
for the year. It is deeply rewarding to us as singers to perform
the classic and contemportary choral masterpieces, and moreover
to see our concerts are well attended by the public.
We greatly appreciate your continued patronage |
